The Tour That Keeps on Giving!

The Genealogy Journey continues. John, quoted above, was able to connect to an already well documented Highland family tree and has made it back to 1293! John also descends from clan nobility, making this type of research unique.

The Highland History and Research Tour is on their 4th day of research. We spent a few hours researching in the Clan Donald Centre in Skye on Monday then two full days that the Highland Archive Centre in Inverness. We have moved down the Glen and are just finishing up a day of research at the Lochaber Archives.

Connections have been made to Macdonalds, Camerons, Grants, MacKinnon, MacGregors and MacPhails.

Tomorrow is a day off from research as we make our way down to Glasgow to meet up with the Glasgow Research Group. The two groups will be together on Saturday to attend the annual conference of the Scottish Association of Family History Societies in Fife.

This Highland tour was a one time only tour and won't be offered again. It has been an absolute delight sharing the highlands with this group of family history researchers.

There are only TWO spaces left for the May 2018 Genealogy Research Tour in Edinburgh. This Highland tour was a one time only tour and won't be offered again. It has been an absolute delight sharing the highlands with this group of family history researchers.

If you are interested in joining us for 2018, don't hesitate. There won't be a fall tour and there won't be any specialized tours (to Glasgow or the Highlands) If you miss 2018 you miss your chance to research your Scottish ancestors in original documents their ancestral homeland.
